Returns & Refunds Policy – Seasalt Clothes
Thank you for shopping at Seasalt Clothes (seasaltclothes.com). We want you to love every item you purchase from us. However, if something isn’t quite right, we have a straightforward returns policy to help you. This policy applies to all products originally designed by Seasalt Cornwall and sold through our website.
Our No Quibbles Promise
We offer a “no quibbles” returns policy. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to us within 28 days of receiving your order. Proof of purchase is required. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Conditions for Returns
To be eligible for a return, items must be:
- Unworn and unused
- Clean and free from any marks, odours, or pet hair
- Returned with all original tags attached
For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on the following items unless they are faulty:
- Earrings
- Underwear
- Tights
- Cosmetic products
- Swimwear (must be tried on over your own underwear, with hygiene strips in place)
- Face coverings (boxes must be unopened with tamper-proof sticker intact)
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned for a refund:
- Seasalt Clothes Gift Cards (cannot be exchanged for cash)
- Items sold as faulty, unless a new and distinct fault develops that was not originally advertised
- Items that have been washed, worn, or damaged by the customer
How to Return a UK Order
If you wish to return an item from a UK order, please follow our online returns process. As part of our commitment to reducing environmental impact, we no longer include paper returns slips in parcels. All returns are managed digitally.
To create your return:
- Visit our UK returns portal on seasaltclothes.com
- You will need your order number (starting with ‘M’ or ‘D’) and the email address used to place the order
- Select the items you wish to return and the reason for return
- Choose your preferred drop-off location
- You will receive a digital QR code by email
- Take your parcel and the QR code to your chosen drop-off point
- The courier will scan the QR code – please keep the receipt as proof of return
Once your return has been scanned by the courier, your refund will be processed within several working days. If you are returning items that were originally ordered from one of our physical shops, please allow a few additional working days for the refund to reach your account.
Returning Items from Separate Orders
If you wish to return items from multiple orders, you must create a separate return request for each order using its unique order number. Only items within a single order will appear together in the returns portal.
Returning Items That Won’t Fit in One Parcel
If the items you are returning from a single order do not fit in one bag, please create multiple parcels. You will need to log a separate return request for each parcel, following the same steps. You will receive a unique QR code for each parcel.
Returning a Gift
If you have received an unwanted gift purchased from seasaltclothes.com, you may exchange it for a gift card (UK only) or an alternative item of equal value at any Seasalt Clothes physical shop. Proof of purchase is required. If you exchange for an item of lesser value, the remaining balance will be refunded onto a gift card (UK only). Without proof of purchase, any exchange is at the shop’s discretion and based on the current selling price.
Unfortunately, gifts cannot be returned or exchanged online. If you do not live near a Seasalt Clothes shop, please contact the original purchaser to arrange a return for a refund.
Returns for Cash Purchases
If you originally paid by cash, you must return the item to a Seasalt Clothes physical shop to receive a cash refund. If you are unable to visit a shop, please contact our Customer Service team for assistance.
Returns Involving Gift Cards
If you are returning a UK order that was paid for partly with a Gift Card and partly with another payment method, we will refund the alternative payment method first. Any remaining refund amount will be credited back to the Gift Card.
Refund Amount
The refund amount is subject to any discounts applied to the original order, taxes, delivery costs, and the condition of the returned items. All returned items are checked when they arrive at our warehouse. If an item does not meet our returns conditions, we may reduce the refund amount or return the item to you.
Cancellation Rights
Under the Distance Selling Regulations, UK customers have the right to cancel an order within 14 days of receipt. If you wish to cancel an order that contains non-returnable items, you may return the entire order only if the parcel remains unopened. In all other circumstances, non-returnable items cannot be returned.
Faulty Products
We are sorry if you receive a faulty product. We do our best to ensure all items arrive in perfect condition. If your product is faulty:
- For UK orders received less than 28 days ago, paid by card, Gift Card, or PayPal: please use our UK returns portal to receive a full refund.
- For UK orders received more than 28 days ago, or paid by cash: please contact our Customer Service team via Live Chat or other available method, and we will resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
- For international orders: please visit our help centre before registering your return, and we will arrange a full refund.
International Returns
For orders shipped outside the UK, please visit our international returns portal on seasaltclothes.com. You will need your order number and the email address used to place the order. Follow the instructions to print the required documents and attach the returns label to your parcel. Retain proof of postage.
You may choose between express returns (free) or standard returns (payment made directly to the courier). Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within a number of days of receiving your refund confirmation email.
Stockist Returns
If you purchased an item from one of our stockists (a third-party shop that carries Seasalt Clothes products), you must return it to the same stockist where you bought it. We cannot accept returns from stockists directly.
Policy Updates
We reserve the right to update this Returns & Refunds Policy at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on seasaltclothes.com. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
